Chair-man Mills Inc. is a Canadian owned and operated business that began in 1911. Started by William J. Mills, he became known as Mills….. the "Chair-man", as he began providing a stock of chairs and tables to private homes, various clubs and organizations. From that moment, William became the founder of the "Party Rental" industry. Throughout the following years the business grew to become Toronto's largest "Party Rental" firm.
Chair-man Mills is headquartered in Toronto at 184 Railside Road. Our 50,000 square foot facility is home to over 75 full-time staff who collectively make Chair-man Mills what it is today - people in accounting, shipping, operations, purchasing, maintenance, fabrication, design, sales, marketing and administration. Our facility has been designed to meet all our needs; inventory warehousing, equipment maintenance, carpet and furniture cleaning, design and drafting, sales and administration.
We also have a full in-house carpentry and modular system shop where our staff fabricate displays, exhibits and custom staging.
The interchange of expertise between departments is integral to our success. Our sales staff has considerable experience in operations and project management as well as knowing the full range of equipment and services the company can deliver. The sales force is skilled at finding creative solutions to all problems, logistical, time-related and budgetary.
We take pride in our ability to service clients, large and small. As a multi-service company, we are called upon to look after events ranging from small meetings to corporate presentations, small dinner parties to 700+ dinners under tents, exhibit design and fabrication as well as event planning and execution. Our expertise affords clients the luxury of one-stop shopping when planning an event of virtually any size.
