Arroyo String Quartet, Classical Music

Arroyo String Quartet is a group of classically trained musicians that has been prominent in the Los Angeles area since 1978. Although the group performs for many occasions, our specialty is weddings. We also can provide background music for cocktail receptions and dinner. Our extensive repertory includes all the classical string quartet literature, plus a lighter fare of show tunes, old favorites, and Strauss waltzes.

Besides the involvement with the quartet, our members perform with the Pasadena Symphony and Pasadena Pops, the Long Beach Symphony, Riverside Symphony, and the San Diego Symphony. Recently, one of our members recorded in the original soundtrack of the motion picture "Titanic," conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner.

Some of our more memborable occasions include the wedding of Eddie Van Halen to Valerie Bertinelli, a reception for Princess Grace on her last visit to Los Angeles, and the promotion of the new Viking Sun for the cruise line Royal Viking.
